Rays Fanfest 2013

A couple of weeks ago I had a chance to attend the Tampa Bay Rays Fan Fest at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. I went with my in-laws and children while my wife prepared for her friend's wedding, so our time was limited but it was a cool experience. The Fan Fest was free to the public and allowed fans to walk on the field, and experience what's it like to be on a major league field.

The event also featured vendors and various sponsors who gave out information about their products and free stuff. There were games to play, and children were allowed to "run the bases (the bases and infield were actually covered up)."

Also, for a $50 donation, you could get a bracelet that would give you access to obtain autographs of the whole Rays roster. However, you would have get in line and wait for about five hours if you wanted to get every player, as only five players came out every hour or so.

You wouldn't know that they Rays were one of the worst teams in the league in attendance by all the fans who attended this event. Overall, it was a great time!

Here are some pictures from the event.
