Ten Former Dutchmen Meet In College World Series Regional At Vanderbilt

Ten former Albany Dutchmen will play in the regionals of the College World Series at Vanderbilt University this weekend.

Six met in the first game between Indiana University and Radford University today. Danny Hrbek ('14) started at second base and went 0-4, while pitcher Kyle Zurak ('14) pitched a scoreless inning for the Highlanders. Simon Palenchar was also on the Radford Roster.

Thomas Belcher ('13) came in relief for the Hoosiers and didn't allow a run in two innings of work. Also on the Indiana roster is catcher Demetrius Webb ('14) and pitcher Austin Foote ('14). Indiana ended up winning the game 7-1.

On the other side of the bracket, Adam Lee ('14), Ben Lee ('14), Josh Lee ('14) and Jamie Young ('14) will face off against Vanderbilt University tonight.

Overall, there are 21 former Dutchmen playing in the 2015 College World Series.
