The Tri-City ValleyCats and Albany Dutchmen will face-off in an exhibition at Bruno Stadium in Troy, NY tomorrow at 10:00am. This will be the second year that the ValleyCats and Dutchmen will face each other for the ValleyCats' "Education Day."

Last season the Dutchmen jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a Hunter Boose home run but the ValleyCats rallied and clawed out a 6-3 win.

Students from local schools will travel to the stadium to watch the exhibition game and take part in educational events including character development and anti-bullying.

This was a great event last year and I expect the same this year. It was great to see all the kids at the ballpark watching baseball. The atmosphere was great as players from both sides signed autographs and took pictures with the students. It's also cool to see the events the ValleyCats do to help these students in their development as people.

In terms of baseball, it's always interesting watching a professional team play an "amateur" team. You never know what can happen. The levels of play aren't totally different as most of the ValleyCats will be playing in their first "professional" game. Many of those players are fresh out of college and high school like the Dutchmen players, so they'll have some jitters. It should be a great time!
