In 2012, Spencer signed with  Spokane Shock, where he was named rookie kicker of the year.  After that he bounced around from the New Orleans Voodoo, LA Kiss, and Arizona Rattlers before receiving a minicamp invite with the Detroit Lions. As a member of the LA Kiss, he appeared on the AMC television show "4th And Loud" which documented the teams's inaugural season under the management of legendary musicians Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of the band KISS.  Spencer most recently had a workout with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
