College Hockey Roundup: October 12, 2018

UMASS 6 - RPI 1 
Amherst, MA - RPI was defeated by UMass 6-1 on Friday night at the Mullins Center. Cale Makar had two goals and an assist for the Minutemen while Marc Del Gaizo had a goal and two assists. Jacob Lacka had the lone goal in the loss for the Engineers.

UMass goalie Matt Murray stopped 27 of 29 shots he faced on the night.

Linden Marshall had 23 saves in net for RPI but was relieved by Owen Savory in the third period. 

The two teams will meet again tonight at 7pm in Troy, NY. 

UCONN 5 - ARMY 2 
West Point, NY - The Army was defeated by the UConn Huskies 5-2 on Friday night. Five different players scored goals on the night for UConn including Karl El-Mir, Benjamin Freeman, Brian Rigali, Ruslan Iskhakov, and Alexander Payusov. Adam Huska stopped 32 shots in the net for the Huskies. 


Alex Wilkinson had a solid night for Army with two goals
Alex Wilkinson scored the only two goals in the loss for the Black Knights. Jared Dempsey allowed four goals and made 16 saves in net for the Black Knights. He was relieved n the third period by Trevin Kozlowski who made is college debut. Kozlowski stopped eight of nine shots he faced.

Army will host Merrimack tonight at 7:05pm.
